Pizza Mojo - Kenya

In 2015, recognizing a significant and growing demand for pizza in Kenya, I saw an opportunity to expand our offerings beyond what our Big Square (BSQ) brand was providing. Despite BSQ’s success, there was a segment of the market that was looking for a more specialized pizza experience, which we weren’t fully capturing.

Pizza Mojo was conceived as a strategic complement to BSQ, aiming to cater to this specific segment of pizza lovers. We wanted to maintain our reputation for offering a fun-filled, casual dining experience at prices that were accessible to a wide range of customers.

One of the key innovations of Pizza Mojo was our approach to pricing and variety. We decided to offer two pizzas for the price of one, allowing customers to mix and match flavors with each order. This not only provided exceptional value but also gave customers the opportunity to try different combinations, enhancing their overall dining experience.

To support this concept, we designed unique packaging that could accommodate two pizzas, making it easy for customers to carry multiple flavors with them. This approach not only differentiated Pizza Mojo in the market but also created a memorable and convenient experience for our customers.

The tagline “Made for Sharing” was chosen to reflect our belief in creating a communal dining experience. Pizza has always been a food that brings people together, and we wanted Pizza Mojo to embody that spirit. Whether sharing with friends, family, or colleagues, Pizza Mojo is designed to be enjoyed in a social setting, where the joy of good food is enhanced by the company it is shared with.

Today, Pizza Mojo has grown to 11 locations across Kenya, successfully capturing a segment of the market that was previously underserved. It has become a popular choice for those looking for a great pizza experience at an affordable price, while also contributing to the overall success and growth of our brand portfolio.
